"I've started reading the book "I did it my way" of Prince Andreas.
I've started reading yesterday and had great difficulty putting it down!
It is very well written, well researched and I love that fragments of diaries have been used and printed. I personally love to read in a person's own words.
The mother of Prince Andreas wrote very well and at times very funny....like about her undergarments and clothes on her wedding day!
It is also wonderful to read the memories the Prince has about his Grandmother Coburg as he calls her, Princess Victoria Adelheid.
She interests me, and one of the prides in my collection is an old very beautiful photo of her and her signature from Veste Coburg may 1928.
I have just started reading the book, not halfway, so I have a lot more to look forward to."

Meiningen: A New Baby Heir
Prince Constantin of Saxe-Meiningen became a father this past July with the arrival of his first son, Prince Michael!
The birth took place in Switzerland, where the baby's parents reside.
This is the first Saxe-Meiningen birth since Prince Constantin, the only son of the late Prince Friedrich of Saxe-Meiningen and Princess Beatrice of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.
Given the family's request for privacy, we cannot share photos of the baby and his father. But he is a healthy boy and expected to carry the family name one generation further.
Coburg: Royal Baptism
On Saturday, November 14, 2015, baby Prince Philipp of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha was baptized in the private Chapel at Schloß Callenberg.
Among the nearly 100 guests were several prominent members of Europe's royalty: King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of the Belgians, Hereditary Prince and Princess Bernhard of Baden, Hereditary Prince Gustav of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg (along with his longtime girlfriend Carina Axelson), the Fürstin of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg, Princess Beatrice of Saxe-Meiningen with her daughter Princess Maria Alix, Hereditary Prince and Princess Carl of Wrede, to name a few. Coburg family members present included: Prince Andreas (Head of House) with his wife Princess Carin and their other children (Stephanie and Alexander); the proud parents Hereditary Prince Hubertus and his wife Kelly along with their eldest daughter, adorable Princess Katharina; and Prince Peter, a first cousin of Prince Andreas.
This was a private family event. Hence at the request of the family, no photos will be available.

New Book: House of Thurn und Taxis
A new book on the Thurn und Taxis family is about to hit bookstores!
Eurohistory will carry this volume, which promises to be quite a,mazing as it was coauthored by none other than Fürstin Gloria von Thurn und Taxis (née Schönburg-Glauchau).
This dynasty has been one of my personal favorites, mainly due to their absolutely phenomenal marriages that allied the family to other dynasties, among them: Austria, Saxony, Luxembourg and Portugal.
We expect to have copies available for dispatch after Thanksgiving!
